Why We Need To Be Productive

Why do we need to be productive?

So last week I wrote about some tips on how to use Notion to boost productivity. And, I frequently write about productivity then I realized something: We often associate productivity with completing tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines, and maximizing our output. However, after pondering the thought for a while, I think the true purpose of productivity extends far beyond these surface-level achievements. The deeper purpose of being productive is about alleviating financial burden and achieving financial freedom.

Understanding the Link Between Productivity and Financial Burden:

Financial burden is a common source of stress and anxiety for many individuals. Whether it’s debt, bills, or the pressure to make ends meet, financial concerns can weigh heavily on our minds and impact our overall well-being. Productivity plays a crucial role in alleviating this burden by enabling us to earn income, manage expenses, and work towards financial stability.

Leveraging Productivity to Increase Income:

One of the primary reasons for being productive is to increase our earning potential. By maximizing our efficiency and effectiveness in our work or business endeavors, we can generate more income and create opportunities for financial growth. Whether it’s advancing in our careers, starting a side hustle, or investing in income-generating assets, productivity empowers us to take control of our financial future.

We might think we don’t have time, and we already cater out 8 hours a day for our job if we are full-timed employee. But the reality is that when push comes to shove, we always have to pick up some thing. Whether it’s over time, or side hustle. One way or another, we always want to make end meets. This may sounds bleak, but I promise there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Managing Expenses and Budgeting Effectively:

Productivity is not just about earning more; it’s also about managing our resources wisely. By being productive, we can develop habits such as budgeting, tracking expenses, and avoiding unnecessary purchases. These habits help us optimize our financial resources and avoid falling into debt or overspending. With proper budgeting and expense management, we can achieve financial stability and reduce financial stress.

Working Towards Financial Freedom:

Ultimately, the purpose of being productive is to work towards financial freedom. Financial freedom means having the ability to live life on your own terms, without being constrained by financial limitations. It’s about having enough passive income to cover your expenses and pursue your passions and goals without the constant pressure to work for money. When money generates more money through investing, then your money is also being productive.

Productivity is the key that unlocks the door to financial freedom, allowing us to build wealth, create passive income streams, and achieve true financial independence. Remember: if you want to be productive in finances, then you will have to face your expenses and spreadsheet. Start by tracking expenses then find ways to save. It is easier to save than to earn.
